A Modular Concept

There have been a lot of ‘mountain home’ discussions this week between Matt and I as we’re vacationing here in Colorado.  We actually used to live here back after we graduated from college, but moved back to Ohio for our careers, so we didn’t get an opportunity to really live the mountain life.

I’ve been creeping around at homes all week dreaming about the day we’ll be able to have a home here and this home concept really jumped out at me.  It’s unique because the three different modular buildings are all part of a main home.  One building houses the living room, kitchen, and dining room.  Connected by a breezeway to the main building is a master bedroom and bath, and a separate building houses two bedrooms and a bathroom.  I kind of love the idea of this layout (if you live in a warmer climate) due to the privacy and the kind of ‘community’ like atmosphere.

The decor is so pretty – simple, breezy, and natural.  I love it.

How do you feel about this type of home?

    Those windows…that light…to DIE for.

I also love how there’s a lot of wood but it doesn’t feel rustic-cabin-in-the-woodsy, but rather open and warm. Nice find, Erin!

Thanks for sharing photos of this house – love it. Do you have more information about it or do you know the architect? Thanks!
