ONE vintage mid century handlebars make the coolest faux antler art – and a bonus is that it also functions as a set of wall hooks, $260.  The brilliant idea came from Hilary at Flea Market RX who is as creative as she is kind!  I had the pleasure of talking shop with her last week!  TWO aren’t these little vintage napkins the cutest?  They would be perfect for a vintage inspired holiday table! $30 for a set of 4 from EthanOllie.  If you like mid century vintage, you have to check out their whole shop. THREE this herringbone throw is darling on it’s own, but then throw in pom pom fringe and you have a winner!! $55 from Waiting on Martha. FOUR I absolutely love the sentiment communicated on this enamel mug… To the Mountains! Just $13 from Meriweather of Montana. FIVE the natural linen monogram cushion is a versatile way to add custom touch to your home.  $48 from Grandiflora Home + Decor. SIX I really love a good apron and think they’re underutilized. When preparing for a dinner party, I always wear one when I’m putting finishing touches on a meal, but after I’m dressed for guests. This one is a beautiful buffalo check linen from Kanorado Shop.

Happy Friday guys!  Our Thanksgiving holiday is getting a kick start this weekend with our Friendsgiving tomorrow.  I’ll be planning and cleaning all day today, so I’ll be excited to get a break from the planning and cleaning to have a nice dinner out with my Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law tonight.

Tomorrow, we’ve got a wide array of meals coming from all of our friends and we are managing the Turkey (which we’re smoking in the green egg) and the stuffing (because I’m a control freak and need to make the stuffing). Aside from that, I’ll be creating a Kahlua bar for after dinner sweet drinks (photos on Monday) and serving this layered dessert.  The table will be mostly white with hints of natural linen and plaid (inspiration here).

I’m excited to decorate the table and will share complete photos on Tuesday so you can be inspired for your Thanksgiving!

Have a wonderful weekend, guys!

TWO oversized matches from Illume are my favorite for lighting the fireplace without burning my little fingers, $5. THREE this navy blue nordic wool blanket is the perfect decor element for my living room this winter, and $119 isn’t bad for all all wool blanket! FOUR quick like a fox!  These laser cut fox bookends are stylish but neutral.  $64 from Design Atelier Article. FIVE the perfect Thanksgiving platter is just $10 at World Market right now (down from $20!) run, don’t walk! SIX nailhead detail on this black ‘X’ table is a great way to jazz up your neutrals. $125 from Target.

Happy weekend, friends!  This week has just flown by for me and has been chalk full of action.  I’m going to really hit the ground running this morning and try to get as much done as humanly possible so that I can relax a bit this weekend.   Matt and I have the best strategy this weekend – we have no concrete plans, but are just going to go where the wind takes us.  That might be a cool bar or that might be our warm couch.  We’ll see!

Do you have anything on your weekend agenda?

ONE I’ve heard great things about Martha’s new One Pot Cookbook!  I might treat myself to it this weekend since it’s just $16 on Amazon! TWO these gilded stemless wine glasses from World Market would be perfect for entertaining from Thanksgiving straight through until Christmas and at just $19 for a set of four, they’d make a great gift too.  THREE If you want a great live wreath that will bridge the holidays, try one made of Bay laurel.  It smells awesome, but is totally appropriate for before Christmas. This one from McFadden Farms is just $34 which is a steal for a live wreath.  FOUR isn’t this rust colored arrow rug gorgeous?  Would you ever believe it was just $149 from Urban outfitters?  I might have to snag it! FIVE I’m still on the lookout for pretty B&W patterned pillows for my bedroom makeover.  These from Chanee Vijay Textiles are printed on greige hemp which makes them look more rustic and natural than start black and white can be. SIX if you’re looking for a good beverage bucket for entertaining this year, look no further than this planter from Ikea.  It’s just $19, which is such a deal.

Happy Friday guys!  Have you ever actually had a week where Friday gets here too soon and you’re left with a long to-do list still?  I know its a little crazy, but I kind of wish I had just one more weekday to get some things done which would allow me to enjoy my weekend a little more.

This weekend, I have friends coming in from out of town and we’re going to do all of my favorite columbus things and eat at my favorite columbus restaurants.  We’re starting this morning with a trip to Pistacia Vera, doing a little Short North Shopping during the day, eating tonight at 3rd & Hollywood.  Tomorrow we’re heading out east to Wyandotte Winery then doing dinner at Basi Italia.  Of course there’ll be a trip to Jeni’s thrown in there as well.  Any suggestions to show my guests?

Have a happy November weekend, all!

SIX I just bought four of these grey linen storage boxes to stow away some summer clothes, let the winter prep begin! $16 from Ikea.

Happy Friday, guys! I am getting into full wedding flower mode over here and am spending the majority of the morning cutting stems, getting all of the blooms into water, and cleaning vases.  After flowers are processed and vases are clean, the arranging will begin!  Follow along on insta for some photos of the process!

After the flowers are delivered tomorrow, I’m going to lay low and spend some much needed time with Matty. Sunday I think I’m going to sit in my office and organize the next two months my life – menus for parties, decor to make, and gifts to buy (christmas is just two months away!).

What’s on your weekend agenda?

ONE a little marble box is subtle, but so stylish! Its from a Danish shop called Stilleben and is about 58 usd. TWO a geo copper pendant is the perfect jolt of cool for any style of space and is £189 from Ruby Roost. THREE this scandinavian cross cushion cover is priced right at just $17 from Emily Beauty. FOUR light cranberry color on these dipped stoneware mugs is just right for the fall transition! $36.40 from Dahlhaus. Greetings from Sunny Islamorada!  I’m busy busy doing flowers for a gorgeous wedding and can’t be happier.  I’ve got my island rhythms playing and the windows open.  We’re arranging up a storm.

This weekend after the flowers are delivered, I’m going to relax.  I know I say this every weekend, but every weekend it doesn’t happen so it moves back onto the to-do list!  I just got this new bookand I’m excited to dig in.  Has anybody read anything by Nesbo?

SIX knotted Bardia Rug from Anthro is a very textural way to add dimension to a neutral home! $98 for the 2 x 3.

I’m pretty happy it’s Friday!  Last weekend was a total whirlwind in Williamsburg and for the next two weeks I’ll be hunkering down and working on florals for a few weddings (one of which is in Florida) so it will be very busy.  This weekend is the calm before the storm, so to speak, so I’m going to stick around home as much as possible and prepare!

What is on your weekend agenda?

P.S.  I designed a full outdoor dinner party for The Home Depot and it’s LIVE TODAY!  Check it out here!

ONE gorgeous handmade, organic chambray tea towels are just rustic enough, but would work well in a modern home too! They’re $15 for a set of two from Zinc Door.  TWO the versatility of this cage pendant is what drew me to it.  It could be quite modern, farmhouse, or totally classic.  What a winner at just $147! THREE there almost aren’t words for this cane chair!  how wonderful is the exploded cane with the curvy frame? I’m in chair love. At $499, this would make a great statement chair in the living room or office! FOUR ceramic espresso cups are darling and would double nicely as sauce bowls or bud vases!  They’re $29 each (eep!) but are lovingly handmade by Free Folding out of Israel. FIVE A garden stool is always the perfect extra seating or side table for small spaces.  This one is jazzed up with a gold finish, but it’s honeycomb pattern make it down to earth. $395 from Horchow. SIX little message candles from Illume are too cute and are the ideal token to give to someone you’re thinking about, $11.25.

It has been a gorgeous fall week here in Ohio. The leaves are turning, the sky is still bright, and I’ve been squeezing in a lot of outdoor time! This weekend, I am SO excited to head to Williamsburg and enjoy fall in a quaint historic village.  I have never been, so I can’t wait to see all of the history and beauty that I’m sure they have to offer (especially this time of year).  It should be warm enough to walk around but cool enough to be cozy!

I’ll be posting about it here on Monday, so get ready!

ONE I love this wall sconce for the simplicity of the design and the seeded glass.  I want to use a pair in my bathroom above the mirror! $105 each from Lamps.com. TWO someone outbid me on the faux trees I wanted from EBTH.com, so I’m looking into alternate options.  I’m drawn this french market olive tree from Wayfair, although at $199, I think I also might have a way to DIY one (stay tuned!). THREE I dip, you dip, we dip! Dipped mugs are cool without being kitschy! $28 each from Poketo. FOUR I think this set of brass candleholders are very classic and could be a mainstay on the dining table. $12-$20 from Crate and Barrel. SIX A printed melamine tray is perfect for entertaining since it’s dishwasher safe! Indian Lace tray from Nicole Porter Designs for $36.

Happy **FIRST FALL** Friday guys!  It’s been a long and busy week over here and I’m so excited it’s the weekend!  I have a big launch party tonight for the Thread flagship store that is opening and it’s the first store to carry my line, Grandiflora Home + Decor!  Exciting, huh?

Aside from the party, I’m going to be sticking close to home working on a couple of big upcoming projects, but will try to take some time to soak in some of the warm fall weather and eat all the honey crisp apples I can stomach.

What is on your first fall weekend agenda?

p.s.  I also blog at Bali Blinds!  Check out this week’s post on mixing patterns in your drapes and shades!
