As my home projects continue for what will surely be the rest of my life, I decided a few weeks ago to {try to} focus on designing my eat-in kitchen area. After seeing how versatile a farm table could be, I was completely sold. I dreamed of chairs slip-covered in linen or grain sack… like these:
So, I began the hunt for the perfect parson chairs or frames that could be re-purposed or re-covered to achieve my vision without breaking the bank. Where else would I turn: my man Craig, and House of Earnest* of course! I almost pulled the trigger a couple of times with some chic, low-back frames from West Elm, but for some reason I just couldn’t do it. And then I saw this, right here, from Erin!
I was immediately obsessed, swinging my plans in a completely different direction. The magazine however, informed us that these chairs were vintage. Huge bummer. But the very same day, I came across these, and brought them right home:
One more time:
Are these seriously exactly the same? A miracle. I actually bought the table base that goes with it as well, scoring the set for $300. They are the perfect size for my table and are just fantastic for what I am planning for the space! Unbelievable, I know. I told you, it’s magic. My apologies for the Iphone pics, my camera was giving me trouble this morning!
Does anyone else have a great project or hidden treasure that House of Earnest* inspired? Share it with us!
Have a fantastic Wednesday!

I absolutely love it!
