Kitchen Space Solutions

As many of you know, we have an issue with kitchen storage space. We have all of five cupboards in our main kitchen area, four of which I can actually reach.  One is filled with pots, one with pans, another with dishes which leaves one cupboard for pantry items.  I’ve had so many canned goods fall out on me, I’ve started to cringe and turn away when opening the pantry cupboard.  You guys have seen my clever storage solutions for entertaining items or for items we don’t use regularly, but what to do with the everyday used spices and pantry goods has been stumping me.

That is until this weekend, when Matt came home with my $40 hero which simply attached to the inside of my laundry room door.

Look how happy I am to have an organized pantry space.  I guess Matt is kind of my hero too for thinking of such an amazing solution.

Like Gretchen Rubin said during her keynote speech at Alt, “Outer order contributes to inner calm”.  And I completely agree.

Have a CALM and ORDERLY Tuesday!

We have kind of a weird problem in our kitchen — lots of space, but the cupboards are really high! It’s too high for me, so I need my husband to grab glasses sometimes. Or climb on the counters. It’s too small to put a little island — I really like that though!

I have been wanting one of those for my laundry doors. I need pantry space too-that I can reach.

I love it! Isn’t it amazing what little organizational things can do? We ordered a pot lid rack on Amazon and it has been amazing.

our laundry room is off of our kitchen with a pocket door. So we put up a wall storage thing that is similar to yours from the container store that screws into the wall. it has different sized baskets that you can buy so we have 6 in various sizes i think. i love it. it is great for storing things that we don’t use every day that. We are fortunate to have a small pantry but the shelves aren’t adjustable which would be so much better and more efficient.

It looks great! I totally agreed with what Gretchen said too. Now if I could just carve out enough time to get things organized!!! I can’t even talk about how messy my apartment is right now.
