Late Summer Wedding Flowers

late summer flower arrangement

Happy Monday, guys!  Today I’m working ordering flowers and planning details for an upcoming wedding and thought I’d give you all a little glimpse of the details.  The bride is a wonderful friend who I used to work with for years in the retail world and she is a spirited, earthy designer who had wonderful taste and vision for her wedding.

She loves levels of berry with cool, dusty greens and I am so excited to work with her on this project. I just caught the first photo from Style Me Pretty in my pinterest feed today and loved how that little hint of apricot really made all of the other berry hues pop.

Here is my plan for Krista & Nick’s big day:

Do you see that little minty feather in the top?  We’re going to use them in the boutonnieres and in the brides bouquet – won’t that be gorgeous? If you’re wondering where the gold comes in, my plan is to use these mercury glass gold vases, I think they’ll be the perfect gold accent without overpowering the natural whimsey of the floral arrangements.

The best part is that all of these colors and flowers will work their way into a trailing garland which will first adorn the altar area and then be transported to the reception and laid across the head table like so…

Isn’t it stunning?

I am so so excited to show you guys the ‘after’ once the wedding is here and the photos are done! Stay tuned!
