Naturally Spooky Spider Wine Tags

You know I love Halloween, but I also love a more refined approach to a very kitschy holiday.  If I had told you that pipe cleaners and some spray paint would be so charming, you probably wouldn’t have believed me, but I think these are just the right touch of fun, spooky, and functional for your October entertaining – AND a sweet little treat for your guests to take home.

The whole project isn’t too involved for a quick addition to a fall gathering, but is cute enough to be memorable.  Plus anything that involves wine ranks high on my list.  Just don’t drink too much and get scared by your own spider! Keep reading for the step by step tutorial and directions!

Materials:

  • Wooden Discs
  • Black Spray Paint
  • Black Pipe Cleaners
  • Glue gun with Glue sticks

ONE cut one pipe cleaner into four equal segments, and fold the segments in half.  TWO glue the folded sides of the pipe cleaners to the back of a painted wood disk. THREE position the pipe cleaners to have four ‘legs’ on one side and four ‘legs’ on the opposite side.

I wrote the names with white paint, but a silver sharpie would be really fun!  Give it a try, and shoot me a picture on twitter or facebook!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

How cute! These are so easy and fun! I’m such a fan of wine tags. As much fun as mermaids and monkey tails are… they are kinda cheap since they are plastic. So I love fancier wine tags if I can find them. =)

I’m with you! I also love the grown up approach to Halloween! It’s always fun, no matter if it’s a refined approach or not :)
