I think I look forward to all the smells of summer most… freshly cut grass, the smell of neighbors grilling their dinner each evening, that salty beach air, my coconut scented sunscreen, even the pool chlorine on my skin after I’ve taken a dip! At other times throughout the year, my husband or I will catch something in the air that reminds us of the happy days of summers spent outdoors and it’s funny how that will always conjure up a little anticipation for our favorite season.

I’ve got to say my favorite part of summer hasn’t changed since I was a kid in high school – even middle school. It’s that the nights never seem to end, even when there’s work in the morning. Everyone in the neighborhood is happy to be out and mingling and being loud until the early hours. It might seem like a burden to some, but it makes me happy!
