The last post of wedding week! I absolutely LOVE succulents and have them everywhere in my house. They are hearty, primitive, elemental and resilient. AND – they are a wonderful wedding DIY project. Although the amazing bouquet above was created by Rose Bredl, the centerpieces were made by the bride and her mother! Just plant some about a month before your wedding in your desired vessel and, with minimal care, by the time of your wedding or event they’ll be centerpiece ready.
I had a suggestion from a friend to do something more raw, organic and natural as a theme, and this is exactly what I had in mind. This theme comes very naturally to me and is everything I would associate with myself and my personality (and a lot of what I had at my own wedding)!
I am in love with the wholeness I feel with looking at the sun-kissed, nature filled goodness that is captured in these photos. This is everything that makes me take a deep breath, close my eyes, and wish I was there. Isn’t that what design is all about?
Some amazing photographers captured these moments: Local photographers Benjamin Lowry and Red Gallery Photography, and Diana Marie Photography out of Portland.
This is going to wrap up wedding week here on house of earnest*… I hope you liked it and even if you are not looking for wedding inspiration, you got some color, texture or mood inspiration from this weeks posts!
Have a fantastic weekend!
